Bird’s Eye View: How to Trust God’s Perspective

This patient bird was in a tall tree in front of my house. I shot this photo a few years ago and happened to stumble upon it the other day.   The message that speaks through this image seems more relevant now than it did back then.

I remember taking this shot and thinking to myself, What is she looking at? What does she see from her perspective that I can’t get my human eyes to focus on? Hmm.

How many times have we tried to see the bigger viewpoint of our situation but struggled because we’re so consumed by what’s occurring around us? We try and try, but all we see is a blur, if that. It’s hard to see beyond this moment when what’s in front of us is so blinding.

Maybe we’re focusing on the wrong subject.

That is why God reminds us to fix our eyes on Him. Then, give it all to Him – all of our frustrations, all of our wonders, and even all of our innermost desires (yes, the ones you don’t tell anyone else about). He knows what to do with them.  And, He’s already working it out in your favor because He sees our situation from an angle that we cannot.

It’s Monday, friends.  Another Monday. For some of us, it’s another manic Monday.  How about making it a different kind of day? On this Monday, let’s choose to operate with a renewed strength and hope in the One who sees from a viewpoint that we don’t have.

Whatever you are hoping for, whatever you are needing a release from, trust on this day that God can see it, too.  He’s already working it out, and in the meantime, He’s increasing your perspective to focus on what really matters most – Him.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Isaiah 55:8-9 NIV
