The Definition of an Empowered Narrative

Having an empowered narrative is probably one of the sexiest things you can have – really.

It’s not hidden nor is it to be taken lightly. This type of empowerment flows through your veins and seeps through your pores.

Others can sense it on you.

When you have an empowered narrative, you feel free because you are able to accept your past, remain present in the moment, and reach boldly towards the future. This feat doesn’t come easily, and because of that, you feel confident in who you are and where you’ve been.

It’s bold confidence.

The best part about a narrative such as this is that it’s not the type of confidence that the world gives.  It can’t be gained from having an impressive amount of likes on social media or from earning high achievements.

It’s a confidence that only God can give because it’s supernatural. It’s beyond our wildest dreams.

It simply doesn’t make sense to the human mind, but to God, it makes total sense.

That’s the reason it’s so special.  To put plainly, an empowered narrative is the description of your life’s story:

  • Purpose-driven
  • God-centered
  • Courageous

And while we sometimes throw those descriptions around loosely, these are the real deal.  They come as a result of a journey of self-discovery.  They come after healing from all the things (and people) that tried to hold you back from experiencing God’s best.

Most importantly, they come at the moment you realize God designed you to be better, to feel better, and to live better than what you ever expected.

See, when you discover God’s immeasurable love for you and His perfect plan for your life, you just feel different.

You are at peace with your circumstances because you know He’s got you – yesterday, today, and forever.

I know this to be true.  Some time ago, I suffered from a deep depression because all that I had worked hard for was lost. I was ashamed and guilt-ridden. I was broken. It took me years to discover who I really was and who I was called to be.

I believe in the power of one’s narrative because it changes an entire outlook on life.  As someone who was on this journey and still is, I’m here to tell you that it is possible to find joy and peace within yourself through the love of God.

It comes in knowing who you TRULY are and who He designed you to be.
