Don’t Miss the Changes

Fall is my favorite season of the year because it represents a change in the atmosphere.  As I looked out my window this morning, I saw leaves from a nearby tree that was once fully green now two different shades of orange and brown.
It seemed like it happened overnight! It was evidence that a new season is indeed here.  I realized I must be careful to notice the other changes around me before I miss the blessing of forward movement.
The blessing of movement. With all that’s occurring in the world, it’s evident that we are coming upon a season of change.  If you were to take a deeper look into your personal life, I’m sure you could also recognize clues that give hint to a change that will soon come.  As we head into this week of colder weather, gloomier days, and cozy sweaters,  let’s remember that we must continue to be focused on the forward movement that God is taking us on.
Here are some ways that I’m remaining focused on forward movement:
  • Let go of what happened yesterday or yesteryear.  You can’t get those days back, so there’s no point in dwelling on them.
  • Seek out new relationships from people who will encourage and inspire you as you head toward your new season.
  • Change up your every day routines.  This would be a good time to assess your day-to-day activities to see if they are still yielding the best results.
  • Make a point to live every day on purpose.  Work diligently toward pursuing your goals, and be okay with leaving behind who or what is prohibiting it from happening.
Our season of change is already in progress, y’all! If we’re not mindful and observant, we’ll miss the opportunities to see God’s hand at work in our lives.  So take some time today to take stock of where you are and what needs to change.
